Burnley striker Danny Ings is confident he is over his injury problems as he looks to enjoy a successful second half of the season.

Ings, who turned down a move to Fulham to join Burnley in the summer of 2011, made a successful return to action in October after undergoing surgery on a knee cartilage injury.

The highly-rated forward missed seven months of last season with a similar problem in the other knee and he is keen to make up for lost time.

The 20-year-old has impressed in his 14 appearances since returning to fitness, scoring in the 2-2 draw with Birmingham last month.

Ings is happy to be back playing and he is determined to do his best for Sean Dyche's side for the remainder of the season.

"It is great to be back playing after having the injury at the start of the season," Ings told skysports.com.

"No one likes being injured, but I am fit again and I am confident I am over my injury problems.

"My focus is on playing well for Burnley and doing my best for the manager and my team-mates."
