Burnley manager Eddie Howe has distanced himself from a return to Bournemouth.
The Cherries parted company with boss Paul Groves on Wednesday and reports have suggested Howe was set to resume control of the League One club he managed for two years until last January, with bookmakers' odds on him taking the post plummeting.
Burnley executive Lee Hoos issued a "hands-off" warning regarding any approaches for Howe on Wednesday and speaking at a press conference ahead of the weekend trip to Crystal Palace, the 34-year-old insisted he had plenty more work to do at Turf Moor.
Howe said: "This is a Bournemouth story and not really one I should be commenting on.
"I'm proud to be Burnley manager, we've just started the job. We feel there's a long way to go."
