Defender wants Villa's winning streak to continue

Mat Lowton believes Aston Villa unbeaten run of pre-season games shows the new manager's attacking philosophy is paying dividends. The Midlands side have won all four of their warm-up games so far under Paul Lambert including three on their tour of the US. Villa defeated Philadelphia Union and Chicago Fire by 1-0 scorelines and overcame Portland Timbers 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. And Lowton, a £3m summer signing from Sheffield United, called on his team-mates to take their winning ways into their Premier League campaign. "We need that winning mentality throughout the season, whether it's a friendly or a league game," he told the Birmingham mail. "We need to make sure that we're disappointed when we lose and elated when we win. "The manager has got a plan and we're buying into it, definitely."
