Derby County are under no pressure to sell according to boss

Nigel Clough insists defender Jason Shackell is not going anywhere after reportedly turning down a £1.2million bid from Burnley for the defender. The 28-year-old has caught the eye of many clubs this season after some impressive displays since joining Derby County from Barnsley in the summer. Shackell has been wearing the captain's armband for the last few games of the season due to the absence of skipper Shaun Barker through injury. And with fomer Blackpool man Barker ruled out until around Christmas with a second serious knee injury in his career, Clough will want to find a replacement for Shackell before considering any offers. "We don't have to sell," said Clough. "But if we do it will be to strengthen the team."
