Keeper to sign two-year deal at Bloomfield Road
Skysports.com understands Blackpool goalkeeper Matt Gilks has agreed a new deal at the club.
Gilks' previous deal expired earlier this summer and it was expected he would leave Bloomfield Road.
A number of clubs including Aston Villa and Swansea have been linked with the 29-year-old, but Blackpool have managed to persuade him to stay.
Gilks is believed to have agreed a two-year deal and news of his stay will come as a massive boost to Seasiders boss Ian Holloway as he looks to build a side capable of winning promotion back to the Premier League.
Gilks impressed during Blackpool's stay in the top flight last term despite a serious knee injury forcing him to miss a large chunk of the campaign.
