Doncaster captain Brian Stock is ready to put pen to paper on a new contract with the Championship outfit.
The Wales international is keen to stay at the Keepmoat Stadium and discussions have already taken place between his representatives and Rovers.
The 29-year-old's current contract is due to expire at the end of the season but it appears there is no chance of the midfielder heading for pastures new.
Stock believes that the fresh terms could even be agreed by the end of the week as he is keen to commit his future to Doncaster.
Stock said: "I don't think we're far away at all. I need to speak to my agent, who has spoken to the club.
"I spoke to the chairman in the changing room as well and hopefully, by the end of the week, I'll have signed my new contract and start some more successful years at the club."
