Winger says Hammers need something to get going

West Ham winger Junior Stanislas claims the club must start showing some belief if they want to avoid relegation from the Premier League. The Hammers are currently sitting rock bottom of the division following Saturday's 3-1 defeat against Manchester City at Upton Park. However, Avram Grant's side are only four points from safety going into a busy Christmas schedule. West Ham head to Blackburn next weekend, before another away trip at fellow strugglers Fulham, then home games against Everton and Wolves, on New Year's Day.

Confidence

Stanislas, fit again following a groin problem, said: "The next four or five games are definitely ones we can get points form, so hopefully we will start picking them up. "Even difficult fixtures we look forward to and think we can get something, even if it is a draw, or play well and get confidence. "However, these next runs of matches, we can definitely get points from." The 21-year-old insisted: "The belief is still there, we just need a little something, a little spark to get us going again. "The belief has to be there, when you start losing your belief, you start losing your way, the little ricochets and decisions which go against you are part of football, you can only do what you do and try to affect the game that way."
