Sky Sports sources understand Falkirk have rejected a bid from Hibernian for Scott Arfield.
Arfield is regarded as one of the best young players in Scotland and has attracted interest from a host of clubs in Scotland and England.
Falkirk have rejected bids from Hamilton and an unnamed Championship club this summer for Arfield as they look to keep hold of their prize asset.
The Scotland Under 21 international has now been the subject of a bid from Hibernian with former Bairns boss John Hughes keen to be reunited with the 20-year-old at Easter Road.
It remains to be seen if Hibernian will come back with an improved offer for Arfield before the close of the transfer window on Tuesday.
