Burnley boss Owen Coyle was left delighted after a Robbie Blake stunner and a superb showing from goalkeeper Brian Jensen helped them overcome Manchester United.
The Clarets claimed a 1-0 victory over the champions on Wednesday night as Blake's 19th minute volley proved enough to secure the three points.
It could have been a different story had Jensen not saved a Michael Carrick penalty just before half-time, and the goalkeeper went on to make a string of stops in the second half.
But, while Coyle admits Burnley rode their luck, he was delighted with the performance.
"I think probably nobody outwith the football club gave us any sort of chance tonight," he told Sky Sports.
"We believe that we have a team. We know how honest they are, how hard they work and we believe within that team we have quality.
"It's a magnificent three points.
"We had tonight the luck at times as you know but, to beat Manchester United, you have to have that with the quality they have.
"But I thought we brought an awful lot to the game in terms of our attacking play.
"We tried to move that ball quickly and create opportunities and we scored a wonderful goal, so overall we're absolutely delighted.
"I think we played a part in a tremendous match tonight."
Coyle also had special praise for Blake's match-winning effort.
"He has that in his locker," he said. "We encourage him to be positive.
"The goal was a terrific footballing goal and it was fitting to win any game.
"We're delighted to have points on the board."
