Scunthorpe have rejected a written transfer request from striker Martin Paterson.
Paterson is seeking a move away from Scunthorpe following their relegation from the Championship last season.
Burnley are keen on signing the former Stoke forward and have already had two bids rejected for the player, while Norwich are also believed to be tracking the 21-year-old.
Scunthorpe vice-chairman Rex Garton has confirmed the club have decided to turn down Paterson's request.
"Martin Paterson has put in a written transfer request to the club but has been advised, through his agent, that the request has been turned," Garton told the club's official website.
