Kidderminster Harriers have completed the loan capture of Burnley's young right-sided midfielder Marc Pugh.

The 18-year-old has joined the Aggborough outfit on an initial one-month loan, although it is believed that period can be extended.

Pugh, who can also operate up front, is a regular for Burnley's reserve and youth teams, but is yet to make the step-up to Steve Cotterill's first team.

Harriers chief Stuart Watkiss was recommended Pugh by former player Mark Yates, who is now player-coach with The Clarets.

"Mark couldn't speak highly enough of this young lad, so it's great to have someone here who's highly though of," explained Watkiss.

"He [Pugh] has done ever so well at their youth and reserve level and, rightly so, Mark and Steve Cotterill are very keen for him to get some first-team experience.

"He can play up front or on the right of midfield and it's obviously good for us to have another attacking option in the team."
