Nouble keen on Gills extension

On-loan striker Frank Nouble is keen to extend his loan spell with League Two outfit Gillingham into a third month.

Nouble is due to return to West Ham after netting in the final game of his loan stay in Saturday's 2-1 win over Aldershot, his fifth for the Gills this season. But manager Andy Hessenthaler has already indicated that he wants the 20-year-old to remain at Priestfield and Nouble admits he is relishing the opportunity to play more first-team football. "I have been here two months and the manager has given me a lot of confidence and I am playing well. I am happy that he wants me to stay. We will hopefully get that sorted, we have a few days to sort it out," he told Gillingham's official website. "I am enjoying it and I am waking up in the morning and going into training and enjoying it. "The manager there (Hammers boss Sam Allardyce) needs to know who is ready to come in and you can't really see that in a reserve game like you can in the first team."
