Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has revealed he is adapting his game so he can be just as potent in the Premier League as he was in the Championship.
The 25-year-old claimed back-to-back Golden Boot titles while Wolves were in the second tier of the English game, with 48 goals in two seasons.
However, a combination of injuries and Mick McCarthy's new found preference for the 4-5-1 formation has limited his striking threat to just nine Premier League goals over two terms.
Having recovered from a knee injury that interrupted his progress earlier this campaign, he is now focused on being a more than just a goalscorer.
Niggling
"I've been injured more in the last couple of years than I have been throughout my whole career," Ebanks-Blake told
skysports.com.
"At the start of this season I picked up a knee injury which was also the same last season. Then when I recovered from that, I had a niggling hamstring problem all season so it was tough.
"By the time that you are fit again, you have a situation where you are fighting to get in the team and the shape of the team has changed too."
The form of Kevin Doyle and Steven Fletcher means the former England Under-21 international is no longer an automatic choice at Molineux.
Competition
Yet he is prepared to face the challenge head on and believes his ability will see him become a regular under McCarthy again.
"I've never given up and I believe that I can get back to the level I was previously," he added.
"With the increased competition for places, when my opportunities come, I have to take them now more than ever."
