Megson denies Morrison bust-up

Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson has dismissed rumours of a fall out between himself and striker Clinton Morrison.

Megson omitted Morrison from his matchday squad at the weekend, opting instead to hand striker David McGoldrick a debut after his arrival last week from Nottingham Forest on an emergency loan. Megson said: "I sat down with Clinton and told him the position that we're in. There has to be respect given to Clinton for what he has done in the game. "I told him McGoldrick would be starting and that he wouldn't be on the bench. "There has been no animosity, we had a conversation and there is no problem between myself and Clinton. If there was a league table for rumours in League One we'd be 14 points clear." Morrison, 32, a free signing from Coventry in July 2010, has scored two goals in 10 appearances for the Owls this season.
