Colchester United have announced that teenager Anthony Wordsworth has signed a new contract with the club.
Wordsworth has been rewarded after impressing during pre-season and his three appearances for the League One side this campaign.
The 19-year-old midfielder has penned an improved and longer deal, and follows Clive Platt and John White in committing his foreseeable future to the U's.
Geraint Williams' Colchester currently lie fourth from bottom in League One following their relegation from the Championship last term.
