Ipswich starlet returns

Brighton have completed the signing of Ipswich defender Matt Richards on loan until the end of the season. The left-back, whose initial spell with the Seagulls expired at the end of December, is expected to go straight into the squad which hosts Huddersfield on Saturday. "I'm delighted Matt has chosen to return," said manager Dean Wilkins. "He played an important part in our unbeaten run before Christmas. The supporters are obviously well aware of him and I'm sure they will be equally delighted to see him return."

Busy

Richards becomes Albion's third January signing, along with Shane McFaul and Steve Thomson - while David Martot also extended his loan deal - but Wilkins is still in the market for new additions. "The chairman is a very busy man at the moment dealing with agents, clubs and players, but I know he is making good progress and we are all hopeful of further additions before the window closes," he added.
