Michael Synott and Sammy Moore have signed new one-year deals at Ipswich.

19-year-old defender Synott has only made one appearance for the first-team, while utility man Moore has not yet made his Ipswich debut.

But manager Jim Magilton has seen enough to present both players with the opportunity to stay at the club.

Meanwhile, Town striker Dean Bowditch (pictured) has undergone groin surgery but is expected to be back in full training by the start of the season.

Physio Matt Byard told the club's official website: "It was felt that an operation was needed to best aid Dean's recovery.

"The surgery went well and we are very optimistic about a good recovery."
