League One promotion hopefuls Yeovil have taken Anthony Barness on trial as they bid to solve a defensive headache.
The experienced former Chelsea full-back is currently in the market for a new club having mutually agreed a contract settlement with Plymouth last month.
Barness, 33-years-old, is eager to land himself new employers as quickly as possible and has pitched up at Huish Park in a bid to earn a permanent deal from Glovers boss Russell Slade.
Yeovil are currently without a recognised right-back due to injuries to Mark Lynch and Andy Lindegaard, with Barness now being considered by Slade and his coaching staff.
It has also been reported that Barnsley's Dale Tonge and Ipswich youngster Luke Webster are also targets.
