Lynch out three months

Yeovil Town right-back Mark Lynch will miss the next three months of action.

Yeovil Town right-back Mark Lynch will miss the next three months of action after needing surgery on his injured knee.

The former Manchester United, Sunderland and Hull City defender injured his knee in training last week, and was originally thought to be out for around six or seven weeks.

However, after visiting a knee specialist, Lynch was told his time on the sidelines will more likely be around 12 weeks instead.

"Mark Lynch requires an element of surgery," Yeovil boss Russell Slade told the club's official website.

"It will probably keep him sidelined for the best part of three months."

Meanwhile, on-loan winger Martin Brittain has extended his stay with The Glovers until early January.

The Ipswich Town player originally joined the League One club on loan in late October.
