Ipswich Town have allowed two players to head out on loan, as striker Dean Bowditch and midfielder Martin Brittain have moved to League One.

Bowditch (pictured) has joined Brighton & Hove Albion for a four-week spell, while Brittain has moved to Yeovil Town for a similar month-long loan.

Town boss Jim Magilton has allowed Bowditch to join The Seagulls after Danny Haynes returned from his loan spell at Millwall and Jon Macken recovered well from a slight thigh strain.

Former Newcastle United man Brittain has found first-team opportunities limited since arriving at Portman Road back in the summer.

Brittain will give The Glovers a midfield boost after Kevin Cooper returned to Cardiff City after his loan spell at Huish Park came to an end.
