Stockport manager Jim Gannon has sealed one-month loan deals for Oldham's Jason Taylor and Ipswich Town defender Aidan Collins.

Collins is out of contract at the end of the season and will be hoping to impress Gannon and his staff in an attempt to seal a permanent contract at the club.

Taylor, meanwhile, will bolster the club's midfield options in a bid to pull away from the relegation zone at the bottom of League Two.

"Taylor is a big midfield player," said Gannon. "Having Aidan Collins in, we wanted to strengthen the team for the run-in and Jason is the right type of player."

The pair may not be the last to arrive at Edgeley Park after goalkeeper Paul Willis injured his wrist.

"Paul has picked up a wrist problem and we may be looking for another goalkeeper.

"If the opportunity came up we'd also be interested in one more striker, because we've only got three recognised strikers at the club."
