Ipswich Town have lost striker Adam Proudlock for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
The 24-year-old had been struggling with tendonitis for the past few weeks at Portman Road.
Following an operation on his knee on Wednesday, it was confirmed that the former Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday hit-man was to miss the rest of the current campaign.
It remains to be seen if Town boss Joe Royle will dip into the loan market to add cover for the injured goalscorer.
Ipswich, meanwhile, have decided not to hand a contract to Poland Under-19 international Pawel Krol.
The 18-year-old centre back is currently contracted to Polish club Gornik Zabrze.
