Ipswich Town youngster Scott Barron has signed a new contract with the East Anglian club.
The 20-year-old will remain at Portman Road until the summer of 2008 after penning a two-year extension to his existing deal.
Barron's previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but Town have rewarded the defender for his breakthrough into the Joe Royle's first team this season.
"I'm delighted to have been offered and signed a new contract," Barron told the club's official website.
"I knew it was a big season for me, what with me being out of contract in the summer, but always felt that if I could break into the side, then a new deal would follow."
Another Ipswich youngster to be offered a contract is Chris Casement, with the Northern Ireland Under-19 international having been tabled a two-year deal.
Casement has impressed the Suffolk outfit with his displays in the reserves this season.
