IPSWICH TOWN have confirmed that striker Richard Logan spurned a loan move to Rotherham United.

Millers boss Ronnie Moore revealed on Thursday that he has failed with a bid for a Premiership striker and despite rumours of the player's identity, it has now been confirmed that Naylor was his target.

"Richard decided he wants to stay here at the moment and I am quite happy with that," said Town boss George Burley.

"He has not been a regular choice, but he has still done well for us. He's a real 100 percent type.

"We're at an important stage of the season and we need as strong a squad as possible.

"I have spoken to one or two clubs about Richard and I have kept him informed.

"He is like a number of players here who are not holding down a regular place, but loan moves have to be right for all parties."

Meanwhile, Town have agreed to extend Richard Logan's loan spell at Torquay by an extra month.
