IPSWICH chairman David Sheepshanks has slammed talk linking his club`s star names with a move away from the First Division promotion contenders.

Goalkeeper Richard Wright, midfielder Matt Holland and strikers David Johnson and Jamie Scowcroft have all been linked with moves to Premiership sides.

The East Anglian outfit have reached the play-offs for the last three seasons but have failed to get past the first hurdle on each occasion. Manager George Burley has built his side around a talented crop of youngsters and the chairman has spoke out to allay fears that others would be following Kieron Dyer out of the Portman Road exit door.

"There will be no big-name players leaving Portman Road this season," Sheepshanks said. "We are concentrating on our promotion push."
