Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak hopes to be back in action for the Premier League match with Arsenal this weekend.

The Australian midfielder has not played under new manager Alan Pardew since returning from the Asian Cup with an ankle injury.

But Jedinak, who helped Australia win the tournament, has completed his recovery and is available for Saturday's London derby.

"We’ll just have to wait and see if I play against Arsenal, but at this stage it is going really well," he told Sky Sports News HQ.

“I’m not the best of watchers. When you have to go to a game and watch your team, I’m not the best at that, but it is what it is.

“I’m there and I support my team-mates. It’s been great to feel the buzz around here. I’m itching to get back out there and be involved in that first hand.

“But like I said, since I’ve been back the atmosphere at the club has been fantastic and the boys’ efforts in recent weeks has been fantastic as well."

Since Pardew’s arrival at the start of January, Palace have picked up 10 points and arrested their run of poor form, which has impressed Jedinak.

“Obviously that speaks for itself. It’s a fantastic achievement. It’s fantastic doing that so soon after coming in,” he said.

“But it’s no surprise. And I’m saying that on the back of being here just a week. I can see the way things are done here. But the way that everyone’s responded, obviously it’s helped that we’ve got the results on the field and we’ve picked up some points, and that’s been driven by the manager.

“Everyone here has had to step up and that’s a very encouraging thing.”
