Neil Warnock was proud of his players after Crystal Palace came from behind to beat Everton 3-2 in the Premier League.

Romulu Lukaku put the Toffees ahead early on but Palace equalised through a Mile Jedinak penalty on the half hour mark after Tim Howard had brought down James McArthur in the box.

Second-half goals from Frazier Campbell and Yannick Bolasie put Warnock’s side ahead before Leighton Baines scored a penalty for the hosts late on following Scott Dann’s foul on Leon Osman to set up a tense finale.

But the Eagles held on to secure a vital three points, following successive top flight draws with Newcastle and then Burnley.

Neil Warnock was delighted with his team's hard-working performance

A delighted Warnock told Sky Sports: “Well the two games we played and drawn (against Newcastle and Burnley) we should have won both those games as well.

“So it’s great to come here – Everton are a good side aren’t they – and to come back from behind we showed a lot of character.

“(We scored) good goals, I thought we could have scored more as well.

“But (it’s) a fabulous three points. Every three points in the Premier League’s vital.”

He added: “I’m ever so pleased. The application (of the players) and they’ve listened – it’s been difficult for them with a change of manager and everything – but they’ve listened ever so good and I’m very proud of them today.

“(The win) just gives everyone a lift. You want the first one out of the way don’t you and then we’ve got some great games coming up.

“But it gives you that little bit of confidence on the training ground, you come in and you get on with it.

“And I thought today, (I’m) very, very proud – I thought they gave me everything today.”
