Burnley have made a new bid for Wigan midfielder James McArthur, Sky Sports understands.
The Clarets saw their opening bid rejected for the Scottish international last week.
Wigan boss Uwe Rosler is desperate to keep the 26-year-old, but Burnley are pushing to lure him back to the Premier League.
Wigan themselves are still pursuiring Brentford midfielder Adam Forshaw, but his arrival is not believed to be tied to whether McArthur leaves or not.
