Aitor Karanka's agents have confirmed he is in talks with a 'foreign' club about a managerial role, with reports in England claiming that is Crystal Palace.
Karanka is currently without a club after leaving Real Madrid in the summer - where he served as assistant to Jose Mourinho before his move to Chelsea.
Karanka's agents Gestifute, run by Jorge Mendes, have now told Sky Sports: "Aitor Karanka is in contact with a foreign club and he is currently meeting them."
Sky Sports revealed last month that Karanka had an interest in coming to England, with both the Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough vacancies on his radar.
Now reports claim that Palace are pressing ahead with their interest and are set for talks with Karanka as they look for Ian Holloway's replacement - following his departure last month.
Holloway's number two Keith Millen is currently in caretaker charge, and he has stated that he would look for a manager with Premier League experience.
Palace are expected to make an appointment during the international break, ahead of their next clash with Hull City.
