Sky Sports understands that Blackpool have enquired as to Stephen Dobbie's availability, with the Swansea midfielder identified as a top target.
Seasiders boss Ian Holloway revealed on Tuesday that he is keen to bring the cultured playmaker back to Bloomfield Road.
Dobbie has taken in two successful loan spells at Blackpool in recent years, figuring in two Championship play-off finals.
He is, however, contracted to Swansea and is looking to impress a new boss at the Liberty Stadium in the form of Michael Laudrup.
Blackpool appreciate that they can take nothing for granted in their pursuit of the 29-year-old's signature, but hope that past experiences will work in their favour.
They took in a pre-season friendly against the Swans on Tuesday and Holloway admitted prior to the game that he would look to raise the issue of Dobbie's future with Laudrup.
It is understood that questions have been asked, with the Seasiders keen to know if a deal can be done.
