Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has not given up hope of keeping Nathaniel Clyne, but admits he would have no problem in the full-back joining Manchester United.
United have been strongly linked with a move for the 20-year-old when his contract at Selhurst Park expires at the end of the season.
Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to have been impressed by Clyne during Palace's shock Carling Cup win over United earlier this season and he is thought to be in the market for a new right-back.
Parish insists the offer of a new contract remains on the table, but he concedes he would not begrudge Clyne the chance to move to Manchester United if they came calling for him.

"We haven't agreed anything with anybody and we still have a contract offer on the table for Nathaniel," Parish told the
London Evening Standard.
"We have a good relationship with both him and his agent and I think he is enjoying his football here and can see the club are going forward.
"But if there is a deal to be done with Manchester United, it would be hard to stand in the kid's way. If our young players are to leave, then at least we want them to go onto something bigger and better - and Manchester United are who they are.
"But he is playing brilliantly at the moment and is at a good place with the team and under Dougie Freedman's management.
"If he keeps on playing as he is then I'm sure that a lot of teams will be interested in signing him but we are working together here and it's all positive at the moment."
