Crystal Palace's newest signing Michael Chambers is relishing the opportunity of playing Championship football.

The 17-year-old defender joined the Eagles' academy squad after signing a two-and-a-half-year contract, a move first revealed on skysports.com.

Chambers has moved from Dulwich Hamlet and the teenager is looking forward to working hard in south London and impressing manager Dougie Freedman.

Delighted

"I am delighted," Chambers told the club's official website.

"It's a big opportunity for me, going from the level I was at to here is a big change.

"I've just got to impress with hard work and hopefully do well for the club."
