Darren Ambrose hopes team-mate Wilfried Zaha stays at Crystal Palace after being linked with Premier League clubs.

Midfielder not surprised team-mate is wanted in the Premier League

Darren Ambrose is not surprised Crystal Palace team-mate Wilfried Zaha is being linked with Premier League teams, but hopes the teenager stays at Selhurst Park. Zaha has been attracting interest from a host of top-flight clubs and was rumoured to be a target for Liverpool last season. The 18-year-old winger enhanced his growing reputation by setting up goals for Ambrose and Jonathan Williams in Tuesday night's Carling Cup win over Wigan. Victor Moses, the last Eagles Academy product to move to the Premier League, was on the Wigan bench but Ambrose wants to see Zaha in Palace colours for a bit longer. "It's no surprise to see him linked with other clubs," said Ambrose. "But Victor didn't get much playing time at Wigan last year, although he's come in now. "It would be nice to keep Wilfried here because he is a great player for us."
