Kagisho Dikgacoi's agent admits he has been left 'bewildered' after Fulham decided take up the option to extend the midfielder's contract.
The South Africa international joined Fulham on a two-year deal in 2009 and has made just 16 appearances during his time at Craven Cottage.
The 26-year-old has made only one fleeting substitute's appearance since Mark Hughes took over as manager and had been tipped for a move.
However, the Cottagers have decided to extend Dikgacoi's contract by a further 12 months to leave the player's representative Mike Makaab baffled by the decision.
"I have been notified that they have exercised the option on the contract to extend it for a year, but I'm completely bewildered by the news to be honest," said Makaab in the Ealing Gazette.
"KG was not even on the bench for the FA Cup match against Peterborough at the weekend, so for the manager to say he is still in their plans is very surprising, especially because they have just signed another player in his position in Steve Sidwell.
"I'll be discussing the whole matter with the player and the club, but I don't want to comment any further at this stage."
