Oldham Athletic manager Dave Penney is considering extending goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan's stay at the club.
The Crystal Palace shot-stopper has been on loan at Boundary Park for two months and has been a regular between the sticks in the Latics goal, making eight appearances for the League One side.
Flahavan was due to play his final two Oldham games in the festive double-header against Tranmere Rovers and Hartlepool United but both fixtures were postponed because of the bad weather.
With the Hartlepool game rescheduled for this Saturday, with both teams competing in the FA Cup third round, Penny admits he has been trying to keep the veteran goalkeeper at the club in the New Year.
"We've spoken to Crystal Palace because, at this moment in time, he's only on loan with us until the end of the month," Penney told the Oldham Advertiser.
"We have to decide what we're going to do - Palace, the player and ourselves - but he's done well for us and we're happy with him."
