Lewwis Spence and Charlie Sheringham will head to the United States on Wednesday.
Crystal Palace pair Lewwis Spence and Charlie Sheringham will head to United States on Wednesday for a stint with Crystal Palace USA.
Striker Sheringham and midfielder Spence will link up with the United Soccer League Second Division side over the summer.
The 19-year-olds will hope to feature regularly for the Maryland-based club before heading home in time for the 2007/08 season.
Eagles boss Peter Taylor is looking for the pair to play in over 20 matches, and believes the experience will stand them in good stead.
"It will be a good experience for them and will give them the chance to get some games under their belts and return here fitter and stronger for next season," Taylor told the club's official website.
"The whole experience of being away in another country will also help in their development and playing regular matches in a competitive league will be of real benefit too."
