Matt Lawrence has joined Crystal Palace from Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
The 32-year-old defender underwent a medical and agreed personal terms on Wednesday, before putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal.
Lawrence signed a three-year deal with The Lions last summer but, following their relegation to League One, he has decided that his future lies in The Championship.
He will link up with former Millwall team-mate Darren Ward at Selhurst Park, and provide new Palace boss Peter Taylor with some much-needed defensive cover.
Fitz Hall and Emmerson Boyce both left the club to join Premiership side Wigan earlier in the summer.
