Hull have rejected a bid from Crystal Palace for Leon Cort.
New Palace boss Peter Taylor is looking to raid his old club and he is a big admirer of Cort.
Taylor is in the market for a new central defender having sold Fitz Hall to Wigan and has made Cort his top target.
Cort was signed by Taylor at Hull and he would love to be reunited with him at Selhurst Park.
However, Hull are keen to keep hold of the former Southend man and have turned down Palace's initial £750,000 offer.
Palace have money available from the sale of Hall and they are expected to come in with a renewed offer for Cort.
