Port Vale have made an offer to make Sam Togwell's loan move from Crystal Palace permanent.
Togwell has impressed on loan at Vale Park since joining the club in November.
Vale boss Martin Foyle is keen to keep Togwell and has lodged an undisclosed bid for the midfielder.
"Sam has done well for us, and I feel that is our reward for going out to watch so many games," said Foyle.
"I know for example that some managers don't watch League Two games, which we do.
"Some managers can afford to take a gamble on players, but we have to get it right every time. We are always trying to find a bargain."
