The victory was Palace's sixth successive win to boost their play-off hopes and increase Hull's relegation fears.
The visitors got off to a flying start when Darren Ward netted from close range after just nine minutes.
Palace were gifted their second on 24 minutes when Leon Cort deflected Wayne Andrews' cross into his own net.
Hull pulled a goal back a minute later when debutant Jon Parkin found the net.
Jason Price went close to levelling matters just before the break when his acrobatic volley flew inches over the crossbar.
Cort tried to atone for his own goal early in the second half when he headed Stuart Green's free kick just wide.
Palace looked dangerous on the break and Andy Johnson and Jonathan Macken both saw efforts saved by Boaz Myhill.
Hull pushed forward late on in search of an equaliser, but Palace held on comfortably for the points.
