WIMBLEDON are trying to get Dutch defender Arjan Ebbinge back to Selhurst Park for a second trial spell, but face competition from Luton and Crystal Palace.

The 26-year-old defender spent time on trial with The Dons in November and now Wimbledon boss Terry Burton wants to bring the centre half back to have another look.

Ebbinge's agent is trying to get Heerenveen to let the player come back to England, but the Dutch club are not keen on letting him come back over.

The player is out-of-contract in the summer and is known to be keen on a move, which may persuade Heerenveen to let him try and win a move so that they can make some money on him.

Crystal Palace have shown and interest, as have Luton, and their manager Joe Kinnear confirmed his interest.

"Yeah we have asked about the lad and are waiting to see if his agent can get him over to train with us," Kinnear told planetfootball.
