Purrington extends Plymouth stay

Plymouth have confirmed that highly-rated left-back Ben Purrington has signed a contract extension.

The 17-year-old made his senior debut on Boxing Day and went on to make another 11 starts before being rewarded with a new deal keeping him at Home Park until 2016. The Pilgrims also announced that winger Nathan Thomas has signed a one-year deal having made 12 appearances during the second half of the season following his arrival as a free agent.
