Plymouth Argyle striker Isaac Vassell has signed a new one-year deal with the Pilgrims.

The 19-year-old youth product, who is yet to make a first team appearance for Argyle, will remain at Home Park until the end of the 2013/14 campaign. "Obviously he's got pace and I've seen that when he has played," manager John Sheridan told the club's official website. "With him, it's belief in himself, more than anything. He trains with us and I just think he's a bit insecure when he's in and around the first-team. "But I've told him that he needs to grow up because I've seen something there. "I think he was surprised, but I think there's something there, some attributes that could make him a good player."
