Young hails Argyle performance

Plymouth midfielder Luke Young believes the Pilgrims showed league leaders Gillingham what they are all about on Saturday.

The 19-year-old looked to have scored the winning goal only for a late leveller to earn the high-flying Gills a point in a 2-2 draw and Young believes his side gave a good account of themselves as they ended a run of four consecutive defeats. "They are flying high but we wanted to show them what we are capable of, and I think we did that," Young told the Plymouth Herald. "Nobody likes losing, whether it's in the FA Cup, in the league or in little five-a-sides in training. "It was a great game for us to try to put things right and I think we showed what we are capable of against the league leaders. "We are capable of beating anybody on our day. From start to finish we were at them and they couldn't really handle it. There are a lot of positives, so we have got to try to take that into next Saturday."
