Midfielder Jamie Lowry has signed a contract with League Two club Plymouth Argyle after impressing on trial at Home Park.
The versatile midfielder arrives as a free agent having being released by Chesterfield at the end of last season, with Pilgrims boss Carl Fletcher impressed by what he has seen of the 25-year-old over the past few days.
"He's a lovely guy, he can play anywhere along midfield and at right-back, so for us to have that option is great," Fletcher told the club's official website.
"But no-one has a position at the moment. As it stands, I've got 23 players and they're all looking for spots. Jamie can play in midfield so he's an option."
Newquay-born Lowry had previously spent his entire career with Chesterfield, rising through the youth ranks, although he enjoyed a brief loan spell at Crewe last season.
