Oldham striker Reuben Reid has suffered a setback in his recovery from a thigh injury.
Reid stepped up his rehabilitation from a badly-torn thigh muscle by getting some minutes under his belt for Latics reserves in recent weeks. However, he has withdrawn from the squad for Wednesday's Manchester Premier Cup tie against Manchester United after feeling fresh pain in the muscle during training. Reid joined Oldham from Walsall a year ago and has five goals in 14 appearances this season.
