Fletcher mulls over loan move

Plymouth boss Carl Fletcher will consider dipping into the loan market for a goalkeeper following an injury to regular number one Jake Cole.

Cole suffered a heavy fall in the 2-1 defeat to Cheltenham on October 29 and missed last weekend's 1-1 draw with Morecambe, as player-coach Romain Larrieu deputised in between the sticks. The Pilgrims do not have another stopper in either their professional or apprentice ranks and, depending on the severity of Cole's knock, Fletcher may need a temporary replacement. "It's hard to get people in on loan and then not play them or even have them in the squad," Fletcher told the Plymouth Herald. "We have to manage that. Also, it's not just about getting people in. It's about trying to get right people in so they don't upset the rest of the squad. "(Cole has) some quite bad bruising and the possibility of a little tear. It's going to be one of those where we have to wait for it to settle down. He will tell us when it feels better." "We will discuss with the physio team what the situation is. The situation I have got is that you're only allowed five loans in your squad on a matchday."
