Plymouth striker Rory Patterson has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad to face Scotland on February 9.

The former Coleraine hitman netted his first international goal in his last outing for Northern Ireland, stepping up to convert a late penalty to salvage a draw against Morocco, and is now in the squad for the Carling Nations Cup clash. Meanwhile, rookie Argyle striker forward Joe Mason has been placed on standby for the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 squad, as they prepare for a friendly away to Cyprus on the same date.
