Southend have completed a triple swoop for defender Chris Barker and midfielders Josh Simpson and Adam Bouzid.
Barker, 30, joins on a one-month loan from Plymouth, Simpson, 23, signs from Peterborough on a loan deal until January while Bouzid has agreed a one-year contract with the club.
Simpson and Barker have been on trial with the Blues for the past couple of weeks and they have impressed boss Paul Sturrock enough for him to snap them up.
Frenchman Bouzid, 22, impressed when he came on in the second half of the 1-1 draw with West Ham on Tuesday.
The trio's arrival takes the number of new signings at the club this summer to 17.
