Ashley Barnes admits he would be open to staying at Brighton & Hove Albion after scoring on his debut against Tranmere Rovers.
The striker joined Brighton on loan from Plymouth Argyle on Thursday and came off the bench to score the final goal in the 3-0 win over Tranmere.
He has quickly settled into life at the Withdean Stadium and is not ruling out the possibility of extending his time with Gus Poyet's side.
Barnes said: "I'm enjoying my time with Brighton already. The aim is to get as high as possible in the league and score plenty of goals.
"I see myself settling here, but I have another year left on my contract at Plymouth and nothing has been decided. Gus told me to go out and enjoy it and I hope I repaid him."
Barnes also admitted his goal had an element of luck about it, adding: "I closed down the left-back and shot. I don't know what the keeper was doing, but he fumbled it and in it went."
